What They Offer

Patients complete an online intake, are reviewed by a licensed provider, and if prescribed, receive medication shipped from a state-licensed U.S. pharmacy. Sprout prescribes compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, and has previously routed eligible patients to brand-name Wegovy or Zepbound at self-pay pricing. As of 2 October 2026 its homepage no longer lists any brand-name option, so confirm availability with Sprout before signing up for that reason.

What the billing cycle means for your total. A plan billed every 4 weeks is charged 13 times a year, not 12, so the monthly plan costs roughly 8% more over a year than its headline figure suggests. The 12-month plan is cheaper per month but is a single up-front payment; Sprout's Refund and Returns Policy says a prepaid plan cancelled early is refunded pro-rata for months not yet shipped (see below). Sprout states that the price is the same at any dose and that plans renew until cancelled.
We removed two figures that do not appear on Sprout Health's site. A prior version of this page listed a "$399/mo Premium Program" with dietitian access and 1:1 coaching calls, and a "$199 one-time Initial Assessment" fee. Neither exists on Sprout's homepage, pricing quiz, or terms — the only GLP-1 price of $199 Sprout publishes is the compounded tirzepatide monthly plan. We did not find a source for either fabricated line item and have removed them rather than guess.

Sprout Health is a real, operating telehealth company that uses licensed U.S. medical providers and state-licensed compounding pharmacies. It is not a scam, and patients do receive medication through it. But it has regulatory history that a "is this legit" search deserves to surface, and it was previously missing from this page.
On September 9, 2025, the FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) issued Sprout Health a warning letter after reviewing its website (joinsprouthealth.com) in August 2025. The FDA objected to this claim appearing on the site:
“GLP-1 medications are FDA-approved and backed by extensive clinical research….”
The FDA's position: compounded drug products are not FDA-approved, and this claim implied Sprout's compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide were the same as an FDA-approved product when they are not. The agency found this false or misleading under sections 502(a) and 502(bb) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (21 U.S.C. §§ 352(a), 352(bb)) — a misbranding finding tied to advertising language, resulting in the products being introduced into interstate commerce in violation of section 301(a). Sprout Health was given 15 working days to respond describing corrective action.
What this letter is not: it is not a finding of contamination, a product recall, a safety alert, or evidence of patient harm. It does not allege anything about how the medication is manufactured or dispensed. It is an enforcement action about a single marketing sentence on Sprout's website. Numerous compounded-GLP-1 telehealth companies received similar letters around the same period as part of an active FDA enforcement sweep of this industry.
What it does tell you: compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, including Sprout's, are not FDA-approved finished products and have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality — a distinction Sprout's own current product pages now state plainly. If FDA-approved medication matters to you, note that Sprout's homepage no longer lists a brand-name Wegovy or Zepbound option, so ask Sprout directly or choose a provider that does. Refund Policy: There Is No Weight-Loss Guarantee
Sprout Health does not advertise a results-based guarantee, and its own Refund and Returns Policy confirms there isn't one. Refund eligibility depends entirely on how far an order has progressed through medical review and pharmacy fulfillment — not on how much weight you lose.

If you are considering the 12-month plan: Sprout's Refund and Returns Policy (dated July 26, 2026) describes monthly, 3-month and 6-month subscriptions and does not mention a 12-month plan by name. Its "Multi-Month or Prepaid Plans" clause, the last row above, is the one that would apply. Because that plan is a four-figure payment up front, get Sprout's confirmation of how an early cancellation would be refunded before you pay.
This is a fulfillment-based cancellation policy, not a weight-loss warranty. There is no "lose X% or get your money back" clause anywhere in Sprout's Refund and Returns Policy or Terms and Conditions. If a guarantee like that is important to you, confirm it directly with Sprout before assuming it exists.

An earlier version of this review also listed a personal health coach, weekly coaching check-ins and pharmacist counseling. Sprout's site does not describe any of those, so we have removed them rather than guess.

Sprout does not publish numeric eligibility criteria or a list of states served on its public pages; a licensed clinician reviews your intake and decides whether treatment is appropriate, and Sprout states that not everyone qualifies. Its terms require users to be at least 18. Remote-only telehealth model.
Clinical Effectiveness & Results
Sprout Health does not publish aggregated outcome data for its own patients, and we found no verifiable claim on Sprout's site or terms that ties a specific weight-loss percentage to Sprout's program. We are not publishing a percentage here: any GLP-1 weight-loss figure that traces back to STEP or SURMOUNT trial data describes FDA-approved semaglutide or tirzepatide at studied doses, not a compounded product from a specific telehealth provider, and reading those results across to Sprout's compounded medication would repeat the exact inference the FDA warning letter above objects to. Individual results depend on the specific medication, dose, and adherence.
Customer Experience
Sprout Health's own site displays testimonials describing flat monthly billing and responsive provider messaging; those are self-selected and not independently verified, so we treat them as marketing rather than evidence. Sprout's homepage states "4.1 out of 5 on Trustpilot" and "20,000+ customers since 2025" (read 3 October 2026). Those are Sprout's own statements; we have not confirmed the rating on Trustpilot itself or found a Better Business Bureau rating we could confirm at the source, so we do not publish a third-party rating of our own on this page. If Sprout publishes a verifiable BBB or Trustpilot score, this section should be updated with the source link.
Our Verdict
Sprout Health's compounded pricing ($149 for semaglutide and $199 for tirzepatide, each billed every 4 weeks) is at the lower end of the compounded-GLP-1 telehealth market, and the price does not rise with dose. The cheaper headline rate requires paying for 12 months up front, which is a large commitment to make before you know whether the medication suits you.
Two things keep the score at 6.0 rather than higher. There is no weight-loss guarantee — only a standard fulfillment-stage refund policy — so do not choose Sprout expecting a money-back safety net. And the September 2025 FDA warning letter, while about a single piece of advertising language rather than drug safety, is the kind of regulatory history a reader deciding on a medication provider deserves to see up front.
Choose it if you want low-cost compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide with a flat price at any dose and are comfortable paying cash. Do not choose it on the strength of brand-name access: Sprout no longer advertises brand-name options or prices on its homepage. Look elsewhere if you are relying on a results-based guarantee or want a provider with a clean regulatory record.
