Ro states it serves members in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., though it also notes that specific treatments may not be offered in every location. BMI 30+ OR BMI 27+ with a weight-related health condition. Must be 18+. Ro states it serves members in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., though specific medications may not be available everywhere — confirm during intake. Patients with personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN2 syndrome are not eligible.
Clinical Results & Effectiveness
Unlike providers who prescribe compounded medication, Ro prescribes the actual FDA-approved brand-name drugs studied in clinical trials, so published trial results legitimately apply to what Ro dispenses. In the STEP 1 trial, adults treated with semaglutide 2.4mg (Wegovy) lost an average of 14.9% of body weight over 68 weeks, versus 2.4% with placebo. Ro's own site separately reports member data of 11-20% average weight loss over one year, and describes average results of roughly 20% body weight with Zepbound — those are self-reported figures from Ro, not peer-reviewed data, but they are directionally consistent with the published trial evidence for the products Ro actually dispenses.
Customer Experience
Ro earns high marks for their insurance navigation support — it's frequently cited as the main reason patients chose them. Coaching quality receives mixed reviews, with some patients feeling the RN coaching is more administrative than behavioral. Ro is BBB accredited (accredited 23 July 2018) and currently carries an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, read from Ro's own BBB business profile on 19 August 2026. BBB lists no rating-lowering factors, though it does record a high absolute complaint volume — 661 complaints closed in the past three years, 368 of them in the past twelve months — which BBB does not penalise where a business responds to them.
