What They Offer
Ro's Body program delivers GLP-1 weight loss treatment via telehealth. Ro states it serves members in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., though it also notes that specific treatments may not be offered in every location. Membership includes care from Ro-affiliated providers, unlimited provider messaging, side-effect management and dose adjustments, and 1:1 health coaching. Ro's dedicated insurance concierge handles the coverage paperwork for Wegovy, Zepbound, Ozempic and other brand-name GLP-1s. Ro prescribes only FDA-approved brand-name medications — it does not offer compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide.

Eligibility
BMI 30+ OR BMI 27+ with a weight-related health condition. Must be 18+. Ro states it serves members in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., though specific medications may not be available everywhere — confirm during intake. Patients with personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN2 syndrome are not eligible.
Clinical Results & Effectiveness
Unlike providers who prescribe compounded medication, Ro prescribes the actual FDA-approved brand-name drugs studied in clinical trials, so published trial results legitimately apply to what Ro dispenses. In the STEP 1 trial, adults treated with semaglutide 2.4mg (Wegovy) lost an average of 14.9% of body weight over 68 weeks, versus 2.4% with placebo. Ro's own site quotes “11-20%” average weight loss in one year, but its footnote says that range is based on clinical studies in adults with obesity, not on Ro's own members. The only member figure Ro publishes is a survey — “87% have seen life-changing results”, from 1,243 members on GLP-1 medication for at least 7 weeks — which measures how members feel, not how much weight they lost. Ro has published no weight-loss outcomes for its own patients.
Correction, 16 September 2026: an earlier version of this review described Ro's 11-20% figure as Ro's own self-reported member data and said Ro reports roughly 20% weight loss with Zepbound. Ro's footnote attributes the range to clinical studies, and we could not find the Zepbound figure on Ro's site, so we have corrected the first and removed the second. The same update removed an Ozempic cash price of $900-1,100/mo that Ro does not publish, raised the top of Ro's cost range from $498 to $598/mo to include Zepbound, added Ro's 3- and 6-month membership terms and its Foundayo prices, and removed descriptions of Ro's coaching as nurse-led and of a $50-100 lab cost, neither of which Ro states.
Customer Experience
Ro earns high marks for their insurance navigation support — it's frequently cited as the main reason patients chose them. Ro is BBB accredited (accredited 23 July 2018) and currently carries an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, read from Ro's own BBB business profile on 10 October 2026. BBB lists no rating-lowering factors, though it does record a high absolute complaint volume — 734 complaints in the past three years, 390 of them filed in the past twelve months — which BBB does not penalise where a business responds to them. We could not independently verify a current Trustpilot or App Store score at the primary source and have removed those figures rather than publish an unconfirmed number.

There is no compounded alternative and no money-back guarantee if it doesn't work for you — Ro's own terms say all prescription sales are final. What really sets Ro apart is the insurance help — if there's any chance your plan will cover this, their team is the best we've seen at actually making that happen. What we'd actually do: don't write Ro off as "the pricey one" until you've let their concierge check your coverage — that's the step that can turn this from expensive into affordable. And watch the calendar: the $149/mo entry price on the 4mg oral pill is a promotion Ro says ends August 31, 2026.
