But the guarantee is not a simple "didn't lose 10%, get a refund" arrangement — it is a staged process with several conditions that have to be met in sequence, per BrightMeds' own Weight Loss Guarantee page and Terms and Conditions:

Clinical Results & Effectiveness
An earlier version of this review cited "approximately 15% average weight loss" for BrightMeds. We removed that figure: it traces back to clinical trials of FDA-approved semaglutide and tirzepatide (the STEP and SURMOUNT trial programs), not to any trial of BrightMeds' own compounded medication. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved as finished products and are not the exact formulation studied in those trials, so reading the brand-name trial results across to a compounded product is not a supportable inference — the National Advertising Division reached exactly this conclusion against a competitor, Willow, in December 2025. Is BrightMeds Legit?
BrightMeds is a real, operating telehealth company. Compounded-GLP-1 telehealth marketing has been an active FDA and NAD enforcement area throughout 2026 — the FDA sent roughly 30 warning letters to compounders in early March 2026 and another 25 in mid-June 2026 over misleading marketing claims. We searched both fda.gov's warning letters database and bbbprograms.org's National Advertising Division case records for "BrightMeds" and "Bright Meds" and found no warning letter or NAD case naming the company as of this review. That is a search result, not a clean bill of health guaranteed forward — this is an active enforcement area and the sweep should be re-run periodically. Separately, on the standard (non-NAD) Better Business Bureau consumer-complaints listing, BrightMeds is not BBB-accredited, carries an A rating, and its complaints cluster around shipping delays and customer service rather than the medication itself.

BrightMeds earns positive marks for speed — the 24-hour provider review is among the fastest in the industry. Patients report straightforward onboarding and appreciate the free shipping. The catch is that it is a staged, paperwork-heavy process rather than an automatic refund: a day-84 check-in, coaching-session attendance if you fall behind, monthly progress reports, and only a 22-day window to file the claim. Miss any one of those and you forfeit it, same as BrightMeds' general no-refund policy for everything else.
